| In memory of... |
There are always people in this world that you meet by mere chance that otherwise would've just been another stranger floating in this world otherwise. I wanted to take a minute to put a note up about such a person. A person who I consider it a blessing to have been given that chance with and who gave others so much encouragement, strength, support and love.
Melissa (Cherry to us Hippy Moms) Marie Lawson, 29, of Newport MI, died at 9:05 a.m. on Friday Oct. 31st 2008 after a long and continuous battle with ovarian cancer. Mel absolutely adored her step-daughter and although not what some would consider a natural mother or parent having not given birth to her, she certainly was to those of us who knew here and listened to her speak of Miriana.
Though her body may be gone from this life her spirit lives on forever in our hearts and memories.

Amongst her many talents are writing, tiptoeing through the mind field that is her living room, saving run away strollers, lacing any comment with sarcasm, and changing a diaper in 10 seconds flat. Her greatest achievements are birthing Thing One and Thing Two. Ongoing projects include diving into the world of blogging, weaning an aggressive breast feeder, parenting and all it's challenges, and being a wife she can live with (as well as her husband).
